\nAfter several years of research, our R & D group has discovered that by reducing the number of strains to five, (5) the nitrifying power of Cycle increases in an exponential way<\/strong><\/u>. Because of the new product configuration, it is now extremely difficult to count the amount of the bacterial cells<\/u><\/strong>.\u00a0 Each of these little flocs is packed with bacteria, sealed together in a structured bio-film. It is virtually impossible to separate the bacteria enough to achieve an accurate cell count. The concentration of nitrifying bacteria is now significantly increased<\/u><\/strong> when comparing with previous versions of Cycle. Our newest version of Cycle, has cyst-shaped bacteria kept in the micro flocs that sink to the bottom of the container avoiding contact with oxygen thus preventing premature activation<\/u><\/strong>. This latest product innovation now requires no refrigeration at all. This more stabilised environment prevents activity even at room temperature making refrigeration after opening no longer necessary. Cycle is now more user-friendly than ever before. 8.What is the advantage of the floc?<\/p>\n
Roughly said, it speeds up the nitrification process. The biofilm is a microcosm, and for Cycle it is one with an oxygen gradient, nitrite reducing bacteria being located at the centre of it, surrounded by the ammonia oxidizing bacteria and heterotrophs that act as the skeleton of the structure. So, Cycle with the floc formulation is believed to skip the attachment, see figure attached, process and to jump start the biofilm formation to growth phase. One neat test to do is to add 1ml of Cycle to our Hagen Test tube in 4 ml of light ammonia solution. Within an hour, at room temperature of 21\u00b0C or more, nitrite production can be monitored.\n<\/p>\n
